DALLAS, TEXAS (January 2, 2009)- - Haley-Henman is pleased to announce the exhibition, Amalia which
will open on January 24, 2009 and will continue until March 28, 2009. Amalia Zelaya El-Masri will show her

Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 7-10 pm. This reception is free and open to the public.
Amalia has recently returned from Paraguay where she assisted her cousin, Fernando Lugo, the recently
inaugurated President of Paraguay. Her new paintings portray the challenges and emotions during this
historic moment in Paraguay. Amalia has also created a new collection of mixed-media sculptural shoes
to celebrate political change. She calls these works, "Stepping Into New Shoes".
Amalia has been creating art for thirty years, and this exhibition will give a comprehensive view of her
many collections. Her recent paintings and sculptures will be part of the permanent installation of this
exhibition. The showcase of her many collections will change every two weeks. Of special note will be the
"Passion Flower Collection" with a celebration at the gallery on St. Valentine's Day, February 14, 2009 from
7-10 pm.
On March 14, the gallery will host a benefit for the children of Paraguay. Amalia's collections, "Children"
and "Chiclets" will be premiered for this event. The proceeds of this benefit will be administered by the
charitable foundation, "Medical Wings International", a non-profit organization that provides acute medical,
dental and eye care, along with teaching, for acute relief and long-term care, for sustainable changes in
developing nations around the globe.
Another special event is Haley-Henman's invitation to Maria Gloria "Malola" Echauri to come from Paraguay
and show her paintings from March 4 through March 14, 2009.
In the domain of private collections, and local and international art venues, the work of Amalia Zelaya
El-Masri at Haley-Henman will be the most comprehensive view of her work to date. We look forward to
